Following their best album of the year title at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards in November last year, Fiddlers’ Bid have won another award for their much acclaimed new album All Dressed in Yellow.

This time they have picked up the award for best instrumental album of the year from the influential folk music promotion website Spiral Earth – a triumph secured through a public voting process run over a number of recent months via the website.

On hearing of the award earlier this week, the band said: “We were delighted to hear that All Dressed in Yellow had been nominated for the Spiral Earth awards … this in itself was greatly appreciated by the band.

“To ultimately win the award through the public vote is fantastic for Fiddlers’ Bid, but at the same time we hope that awards such as these continue to raise the profile of all the acts nominated across all categories. Fiddlers’ Bid would like to extend a huge vote of thanks to everyone who voted for us over the last few months.”

Fiddlers Bid’ will be touring extensively throughout the UK in April to further promote All Dressed in Yellow. All dates and ticket buying information can be found at www.fiddlersbid.com and www.atlanticedgemusic.com.
