Letter: A privilege
I would like to thank all of those in the Northern Isles who voted in last week’s general election and especially those who supported the Liberal Democrats.
It has been a privilege to serve the people of Orkney and Shetland over the past nine years and I am pleased and proud that they have put their trust in me once again.
It remains to be seen exactly what sort of government will emerge from the decision that was made across the United Kingdom. Whatever that is I shall do my best to further the interests of the people of Orkney and Shetland.
