Shetland swimmer Donnie Price continued his outstanding form in the distance events of the Scottish National Age Group Championships in Glasgow with his third visit to the podium to collect a bronze medal for a fantastic performance in the 800m freestyle.

Amy Harper qualified for the finals of the 200m freestyle as the sixth fastest qualifier. In the final she improved her placing to fifth place and a four second personal best time.

Donnie Price and Felix Gifford were once again in action in the evening finals as was Sarah Williamson. Donnie performed well in the final of the 200m backstroke as did Felix in the final of the 100m butterfly while Sarah fought hard in the final of the 200m breaststroke to finish sixth.

Special mention must be made of Eddie Price from South Mainland and Logan Jamieson from Delting Dolphins. Both were competing in their first nationals. Eddie was one of the few swimmers to qualify for all 12 events of the championships. Also competing for the Dolphins was Calum McCall.
