Thank you Shetland (John & Pat Whiffen)

Having just returned home from a six-week caravaning holiday in Shetland, I had to write to express our thoughts.

Firstly, we would like to thank Finlay MacBeath (secretary to the Shetland Caravan Club) for all his help and assistance when we were planning our holiday and for inviting us to their caravan rally at Nesting Hall on 3rd June.

We were welcomed like royalty by the caravaners which we really appreciated; thank you all. I only wish they were down here in Gloucestershire, a great crowd. If anyone who has a caravan and is not a member of the club, then I recommend you join, you will not regret it.

I would also like to say the Irish are well known for their friendliness; well you, the Shetlanders top them. Wherever we went throughout the islands, everyone was so friendly and helpful.

We’ve travelled the world but have never met such friendly people as you.

We will now be recommending Shetland to our caravanning friends.

We have made so many friends on Shetland that we will definately be back.

John & Pat Whiffen
Gloucestershire.
