Police appeal over dangerous driving south of Vidlin junction

Police are appealing for information about a dangerous driving incident which took place at 12.30pm on Wednesday on the A970 south of the Vidlin junction.

It involved a southbound Kia Sportage which overtook a lorry in the face of an oncoming vehicle, causing the lorry to take evasive action to avoid a collision. Police are anxious to speak to the driver of the oncoming vehicle which is believed to be black in colour, who may have witnessed the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the duty officer at Lerwick Police Station (01595) 741100. Information can also be left anonymously by using Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
