Spurs keep up early season form

Senior football champions Spurs continued their fine start to the new season with a 2-0 win over town rivals Celtic in the first round of the Madrid Cup on Monday evening. Sam Ward and Dominic Mann scored for the Milkbags.

Meanwhile Whalsay were swamped at home by visitors Whitedale who left with a 6-2 win. Richard Sinclair got four with Jamie Wilson and Greg Tulloch also scoring. Whalsay’s goals came from Allister Johnston and Lee Irvine.
