Cheers and fun at carnival despite the weekend rain

Rain did its best to spoil Lerwick’s midsummer carnival this weekend – but the poor weather failed to dampen the spirits of the many crowds who turned up to watch the spectacular parade.

The event has been held to raise funds for the Callum Younger Reach Fund, set up in memory of the son of local businessman and photographer Malcolm Younger.

The fund helps young people up to the age of 18 to pursue their hobbies or dreams and reach their goals.
