Gala gets Relay for Life day started

The big Relay for Life event is under way at Clickimin with the afternoon gala proving plenty of fun.
More than 120 teams are signed to take part in the 12-hour relay itself which begins at 8pm and about 2,200 people will be taking part in the relay.
The Shetland Times is at the event and will be reporting on how it is going later in the evening. But for now here are a selection of Dave Donaldson’s photos to enjoy.
Good luck to everyone involved and lets hope it’s a big a success as it has been in previous years. If you are taking part, The Shetland Times would love to hear from you – send us your photos and videos to editorial@shetlandtimes.co.uk, or share them on our Facebook and Twitter feeds. Some of the best may be used in next week’s paper.
