Two cars damaged in separate crashes

A car ended up on its roof in a field following a road accident near the Ollaberry hall this lunchtime.

The incident happened shortly before twenty to two in the afternoon. The woman driver of the vehicle escaped injury.

It came after a car was damaged when it struck the crash barrier on the main West Side road near the Norseman’s Inn this morning.

Police, who received an emergency call at 7.37am, found the car empty alongside the A971, 50 metres from the Kergord junction. They later traced the driver who was unharmed and had gone to get help.
