The town hall and Clickimin Broch have again been illuminated in red to mark World Aids Day.

It is the 26th year the day has taken place to raise awareness about HIV and Aids around the world. The same Lerwick landmarks took part in the event last year and the broch was used in the Scottish government’s media coverage of the day as it was one of only two Historic Scotland buildings across the country participating.

Those behind World Aids Day say it is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate those who have died.
