Fire rages through West Side house

Fire raged through a house in Clousta during the early hours of this morning.
The alarm was raised at around 4.15am. Fire crews from Bixter, Walls and Scalloway rushed to the scene to help deal with the incident.

Emergency services are still at the scene. The fire has been dampened down by fire service appliances and a cordon is currently in place. No roads or other properties are affected.

It has not yet been established if the house was occupied at the time of the fire. A joint fire and police investigation will commence as soon as it safe to do so.
