Ambulances called to two crashes
Peter JohnsonAmbulances attended two near simultaneous car accidents at the South Lochside area of Lerwick yesterday afternoon.
A woman was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital after a single vehicle accident at South Lochside that temporarily closed one lane of the road at 1.37pm. She was said to have “non-life threatening injuries”.
Debris from the collision had to be cleared before the carriageway was reopened.
Another ambulance had attended a two-vehicle collision at nearby Clickimin Road just minutes earlier as a precaution, but was not needed.
