A driver had to take evasive action to avoid colliding with a BMW near the Halfway House.
Police say there was “almost” a head on collision when the black BMW, which was heading north on the A970 overtook three vehicles “at speed”.
Sergeant Malcolm Macleod said the incident, at about 4.15pm on Tuesday, occurred at the Sandwater/Kergord junction.
Anyone with information should contact police in Lerwick.
