More weather disruption to North boats

Ferry operators NorthLink have warned all services are “highly likely” to be adversely affected with forecasts indicating severe weather over its operating area with west-southwesterly gales and high seas from the end of the week and into the weekend.

The passenger ferry Hrossey is scheduled to depart Aberdeen sailing for Lerwick at 7pm tonight but due to forecast adverse weather conditions, NorthLink says, departure and arrival time may be subject to minor delays. No such caution is issued for the Hjaltland, scheduled to depart Lerwick sailing for Aberdeen at 7pm.

The cargo ship Helliar is scheduled to depart Aberdeen sailing for Hatston Pier, Kirkwall and Lerwick at 5pm. Due to forecast adverse weather conditions this sailing may be subject to minor delays.

The cargo boat Hildasay is scheduled to depart Aberdeen sailing for Lerwick at 6pm tomorrow.
