There was a two vehicle accident at the north end of Quarff on Wednesday morning.

Police were called out to the incident, near the junction with North Heights, which occurred at around 7.20am. There were no injuries though both vehicles required recovery.

There was some congestion in the area due to the accident but police were controlling the traffic flow until the vehicles were removed.

The accident occurred near where a white BMW left the road in icy conditions earlier in the week.

On Monday police issued advice about driving in the wintry conditions.
