Medivac for Foula man

A man was airlifted by helicopter from Foula suffering chest pains yesterday evening.

According to UK Coastguard the 36-year-old arrived at Clickimin landing site at 6.55pm, an hour-and-a-quarter after emergency services were alerted. He was met by ambulance and taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital.

    I have done nursing in the past while i was in Glasgow, Had this patientS chest pains be serious enough he would have either been stretchered of, and on a defibulator and possibly with a oxygen mask, The patient walked to the waiting Ambulance unaided, This flight could quite easily have gone to Tingwall Airport.
