Time is running out for those who want to be included in the next edition of the Shetland Directory and Classified Business List.

The local phone book is compiled and published by the Shetland Times Ltd and both residential and business users can go online to submit their details quickly and easily on the directory’s new website at www.shetlandtimes.co.uk/directory. These details will then be used in the printed edition of the directory, as well as the online version.

Jenny Henry from the Times office said: “The details we have in our system at the closing date of 15th April will be those that are published in the next printed edition of the directory, due out nearer the end of the year. If a listing hasn’t been ‘okayed’ by that date it won’t appear in the next phone book.”

The bulk of the free listings and display advertisement have been received, said Mrs Henry.

However, she added: “There are still local businesses and residents who haven’t let us know if their details are to be included. We’re busy chasing businesses up but it would be a great help if they could go online and submit their entries.

“We can’t chase up the residential entries though, so anyone wanting their number included needs to let us know by next Friday, the 15th. The easiest way, for anyone with a computer, is to submit the entry online, or there’s a coupon in the paper that can be filled in and posted to us.”

Visit www.shetlandtimes.co.uk/directory by Friday 15th April to ensure you’re included in the 2017/18 Shetland Directory print edition. Anyone needing more information about the directory should get in touch with the Shetland Times on 01595 742000 or by email to [email protected].
