Motorcyclist injured in Tingwall accident

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital and diversions are in place on the A970 following a traffic accident near the Tingwall junction.

The accident occurred at around 12.30pm this afternoon when a motorcycle collided with a Toyota Rav4 4×4.

A male motorcyclist was taken to hospital. No information is currently available on the extent of his injuries.

The road will remain closed until both vehicles can be removed from the area. Traffic is being redirected by police on the scene.
