Solo 2 is first home in Bergen to Lerwick race

The first boat across the line in the Bergen to Lerwick race was the Solo 2 at about 4.20am.

She had led the race from the start and made excellent time across the North Sea.

Port controller Ryan Leith, photographed Solo 2, skippered by Rune Aasberg, as she arrived in Lerwick Harbour. He said some of the early arrivals were hampered by light winds and the tide as they entered the harbour.

Local boat the Roundabout, skippered by Tommy Allan is still some way off arriving in Lerwick. Her progress can be tracked at http://yb.tl/bergen2016#.
