Revellers album hits number 10 in iTunes rock chart

Local thrash folk favourites The Revellers have even surprised themselves on the first day of the iTunes release of their Skeletons CD.

A rock chart compiled by iTunes has the band’s new release in the top 10.

The album was at number 38 this morning, ahead of Greatest Hits by Fleetwood Mac and Foo Fighters.

But by this afternoon the band’s second album was standing at number 10, nipping in front of Bring me the Horizon and Black Sabbath.

Revellers bass player Adam Priest admitted it was a “bit surreal” seeing Skeletons in the top 40 next to such big bands. But he was not aware how many people had downloaded the album to get it into that position.

“It is also available on Amazon now for non-iTunes people, the two will roll together for the final sales on Friday,” added Priest.
