So a new chief has been appointed for NHS shetland board. I can offer some suggestions as to where to save money. Too many hotel services department managers for a start. Surplus to requirements with no idea of infection control. Many senior management could take a pay cut. An end to job creation for senior management family members. I could go on

How about a basic knowledge or even simplistic understanding of medicine as a job requirement amongst our senior appointments. Not just having the right pals and political allies!
