The coastguard helicopter was scrambled in the early hours of Monday morning after a fisherman suffered an injury onboard a vessel.
The incident happened at around 2.30am 40 nautical miles north west of Sumburgh.
The man was taken to the Clickimin landing site before being transferred to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for treatment.
