Coastguard called out to offshore platform

The coastguard helicopter was called out to a medical evacuation on Thursday morning.

Rescue teams received the call at 8.20am and headed out to an offshore platform 100 miles north east of Sumburgh.

A man was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital to receive treatment, with the helicopter touching down at the Clickimin landing site at 10.45am.
