Offshore worker is evacuated from platform
An offshore worker has been evacuated from a North Sea platform.
The Sumburgh-based rescue helicopter was called out at around 9am today [Wednesday].
The worker was taken by medical evacuation from the platform 105 miles North North East of Sumburgh.
The casualty was flown to Tinwall Airport, before being transferred to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick for treatment.
