RNLI responds to reports of medical casualty in Foula

Volunteer rescuers set out this morning (Friday) to bring a casualty from Foula to the Mainland for medical treatment.

The coastguard confirmed an emergency call was received at around 8am and the Aith RNLI was asked to provide assistance.

The crew will take the casualty to Walls Pier for transfer to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick.
