Coastguard respond to medical emergency

A coastguard helicopter was called out for a medical emergency at an oil platform 120 miles northeast of Sumburgh this morning (Friday).

The call was made after 6am and the helicopter crew left shortly after.

An ambulance team was waiting at Clickimin to receive the patient around 8.30 am.
