Schools to remain shut on Thursday

All schools in Shetland will remain closed tomorrow (Thursday).

Early learning settings, youth clubs and the Bridges project – along with UHI Shetland – will also be shut.

It comes with an amber weather warning for snow now in place for the isles, up until 6pm on Thursday.

Public bus services have also been cancelled, with many shops and businesses taking the decision to close earlier today.
