Man to appear in court over Sandness death

Lerwick Sheriff Court.

A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection with a 24-year-old woman’s death in Sandness.

Police Scotland said he would appear at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

He had been arrested and taken to the hospital after police were called to the incident in Sandness at 4.55pm on Sunday night.
